Match report The ladies played brilliantly in all 5 games losing only 3 wickets in total over the course of the day!

Wanstead Ladies beat Hursley Park (a premier league side) in a tight final, winning by just 2 runs! Put in to bat, they scored 48-0 with Saba being retired on 20 after 3 overs. In came Lou and Natasha who got us to a good score of 48 after 5 overs, 10 more than when we faced them in our earlier group game.

Tight bowling by Serena led them to 9 in 1 over. Then Neha steamed in and got 3 wickets for only 3 runs! Tor managed to keep it a low scoring affair and gave them 9 in the 3rd over. Lou had some unlucky wides (which were 3 runs each time) which led to 41 after 4 overs!
Needing only 8 to win, skip bowled the last over. This consisted of a single, run out, single, two, single. Last ball and 3 to win, skip bowled slightly down the leg side, the batsman thought it was wide and took a step sideways to leave it but it clipped the leg stump and the ladies had won their first ever Ickenham CC 6-aside tournament!

There was brilliant support from the home side and other teams too who jumped for joy when we won as this team has won the last 3 tournaments.

A truly fun and amazing day, thank you to all at Ickenham CC for hosting a great day and for great causes.
