Match report Harold Wood won the toss and elected to field first.

Ladies were in trouble from the start and lost wickets early and were on 60-4 after 5 overs! Luckily Neha batted very well and consistently hit boundaries and took runs at 3 times a piece before being retired on 25no but returning in the 9th over when all wickets had fallen. She then hit some more amazing sixes and fours and reached the highest score ever in the history of the Essex indoor league of 74 runs before getting run out on the last ball of the innings!

The ladies bowled a straight line and length and managed to keep the run rate down to 8-9 an over up until the 6th over, when Harold Wood let loose and hit a few good sixes of their own! This left them with 15 to win off the last 2 overs. Despite a catch by Neha and a run out by skip in skip's over, this was not enough to contain Harold Wood and they got it on the last ball of the 11th over. Well done to Harold Wood ladies, who have some really good U17 county players who just edged them to victory on the day.

The ladies played well throughout the season with some great performances by all and proud to say that 5 of our 7 players made it in the top 10 of the league MVP list with Neha and Skip being no. 1 and 2! Better luck next year!
