Match report Hainault and Clayhall CC 3rd X1 visited Wanstead & Snearsbrook CC 3rd X1 at the Nutter lane on Saturday 11th May. Hainault won the toss and elected to bat. Hainault started off quite well with their opening pair notching up 40 runs within the first 10 overs. There were some excellent fielding from our young stars in the form of Feroze Khushi, Mohammed Sharnjer, James Fitzgerald and Joel Morris-Ley. Hainault were eventually bowled out for a very respectable total of 200 runs with fine contribution from Mohamed Nasim who got 104.
Wanstead started the chase with contributions from Shoab Iqbal, Tahir Iqbal, Feroze Khushi, Mohammed Sharnjer and Shazad Akbar who scored a quick 45 which included 6 6's, this performance surly sealed victory for Wanstead. All in all it was a great day's cricket from both teams, Victory could have gone either way, the final runs came in the last over thanks to James Fitzgerald and Mohammed Sharnjer. Looking forward to playing the return match with Hainault, A very nice bunch of lads.
