Match report Losing the toss the Heronettes were put in to bat and posted 211 for 3 from their 30 overs. Melanie Leach 60 not out and Saba Nasim 52 not out were supported by Hannah Newman and Anjali Bamrah who both had scores of 30. Hampstead in their innings reached 150 for 7 with Natasha Dawson taking 3 wickets and Alicia Titre and Anjali Bamrah taking 2 wickets each. The game
was played in great spirit and was a true advert for women`s cricket since the standard was high.

The ladies were delighted to play at home and to be a part of the celebrations on the day when the memorial game for Terry O`Connor was played, since Terry and Sheila supported ladies cricket at the club from the start, and I am sure that Terry, and indeed John Smith who was responsible
for the formation of the ladies and girls teams at the clubs, would have been delighted to see the development of the ladies team yesterday, and would be proud to know that the Heronettes are again league champions.
