Match report After winning the toss yet again (we're on a roll here) the Heronettes decided to bat first on a green pitch. After 10 overs the score was 32 with Hannah Newman contributing 11 runs and Kerri Flanagan with 3. Windy conditions were to blame for the falling of most of the wickets including one where Saba Nasim actually watched herself get bowled due to leaving a ball near the leg stump! After losing her wicket in an embarrassing way, Melanie Leach came up to the crease and showed us how it was done whilst top scoring with 43. An unfortunate run out saw the end of Mel and as she twisted her ankle trying to get back, she had to sit out the rest of the match.

Along came Sadie Lucas and Alicia Titre and a couple of fours later the score had reached a respectable 165-7 but the Heronettes had work to do in the field!

The Heronettes looked very tight in the field and soon Hemel Hempstead were restricted to 75 runs after 15 overs. Natasha Dawson took 5 wickets (first ever 5 wicket haul for the ladie-jees) and the opposition were down to 101-7 after 22 overs. Great field placing by the skip Anjali Bamrah enabled Neha to catch one at slip and also get a wicket off her own bowling with Saba Nasim grabbing the last 2 wickets and ending the game, with Hemel on just 117 all out.

Another hard earned victory making it a 4th win in a row for the Heronettes! A great game all around!
