Five pairs fought it out to be this Weeks Dart Champions.  The notable performance came from Uncle Mani Velani who managed the highest individual score of 171 (3 triple 19s), made even more notable for his using darts of which his wife may not approve.

The pairing of Rakesh and Mahesh managed only 1 victory, which is also what Tony Burgess and the numerous partners he had on the evening achieved.  Rumour has it one of his partners managed a tactical injury and ran to safety.  The young and at times angry James Fitzgerald (if he could bowl the ball as fast as he throws his darts, he would be at least 3 yards quicker) and and his calm and experienced partner Henry Chambers managed 2 victories.  Nigel and Ron Fitzgerald lost only to the undefeated Dave Richardson and Mani Velani.
 
This all meant that Dave and Mani took on Nigel and Ron in the Final.
 
It gave me no pleasure to see Ron Fitzgerald winning but on the other hand this could only have been achieved because his partner was a Hero in Nigel Baldwin.
