Hi
I hope you're keeping well and not missing the cricket season too much! If you are, I'm pleased to announce plans for indoor training sessions for the New Year. These sessions are aimed at children from year 4 to year 8 who are:
- new / fairly new to cricket and so far have only played with a soft cricket ball or,
- have started, or want to start using, a hard ball but haven't played any/many games for the team and would like to improve their skills.
Please do try to get your junior to take part. Here are the details - you'll see at the bottom there is a Google form to complete to express your interest.
When will they be? On Saturdays, starting on 11th Jan until Easter holidays. (There may be some weeks where it cannot go ahead due to the hall being used for exams)
What time? For children doing softball, 9:15 to 10:15 and for those using hardball from 9:15 to 11.
Where will they be? Caterham High School, Caterham Ave, Ilford IG5 0QW (there's plenty of parking)
What will the sessions consist of? We will typically focus on fun drills to improve cricket skills before having a game. Those using hard ball can stay on from 10:15 to use the nets.
What will it cost? TBC, but we expect about £36 for the softball and £45 for those staying to use the nets for a block of six sessions.
Do I have to pay for 6 sessions? It's much easier for us if you do, however if you are unable to commit to six sessions we hope to allow people to turn up on the day for £8/10 a session.
What do I do if I'm interested? Please complete this short Google form (https://forms.gle/hdbtcVfy8sLQHALVA) by 17th December and we'll then get back to you with more details.
What if I have a question? Please reply to this email.
