Thank you to everybody who has already signed up to Tape Ball Mondays. We do however have a few more spaces, so it's not too late to register. If you're not sure what it's all about, in summary Tape Ball Mondays are a fun way to give your junior some good experience of cricket matches while also developing their cricketing skills and also friendships. And if you're wondering what a tape ball is, it's a tennis ball covered by tape.
Teams are based on current level of ability to give the best chance to all taking part to have fun, score a few runs and take some wickets. Please note Tape Ball is not for juniors already playing regularly for Wanstead in hard ball cricket.
If you'd like your junior to take part, please complete this Google form, forms.gle/YohvDk14bynP83547 . The only thing we really ask is that if you sign up, you try and make it every week.
Important info:
When is it? Mondays from 6 to 7. Please turn up by 5:50 to ensure a prompt start.
When's the first Monday? Monday 3rd June and will carry on for 6 weeks until 8th July
What do players need to wear/bring? Just come in comfortable sports clothes and trainers. Players can bring a bat if they have one
How can I help? Good question! We do need some parent help to make this happen. Please do consider if you can help run a game by umpiring or scoring. It's pretty straightforward and you will get some help.
What does it cost? £15 for the six weeks and to include an end of Tape Ball season pizza party.
