Wanstead Juniors
Inspiring a life long passion for cricket
A very warm welcome to the junior section of the website. Whether you just want to have a bit of fun with your friends or have ambitions to play for your national team, we hope that you will find that Wanstead CC is the club for you.
As a junior at Wanstead, you will be given the opportunities to develop and achieve your cricketing ambitions through good coaching, training sessions, use of the nets, competitive and friendly matches and of course, most importantly, your own hard work.
We have almost 400 junior members from 5 years old and up and provide a friendly and safe environment. Our wellbeing policy outlines how seriously we take the safety of our juniors while our members’ and family charter summarises the expectations that we have of our juniors (and their parents!).
To join the club and register for the first time, we ask prospective members to attend an information sessions so juniors and their parents have accurate expectations about what membership entails, to give a chance to ask questions and so you can make an informed decision on whether Wanstead is the right club for you. After attending a session you are able to apply for membership. All the sessions are at the clubhouse in Overton Drive; the dates for 2025 are:
If you would like to attend please complete this Google form (https://forms.gle/eHZoSWSnS6omZopd6). It is likely that 2025 junior registration will close shortly after these meetings as membership usually fills by the start of the season.
After a successful 2024 we are looking forward to the new season with a full fixture list of competitions, friendlies and inter club matches.

Over the last three years, we had a significant and successful focus on growing both the number of girls playing and the quality of girls' cricket. We had almost 100 girls playing and look forward to further growth this year and particularly in the number of games and festivals for girls.
